FFI Provides an immersive master class experience taught by a team of world-class chefs. Faced with the challenges brought on by the global pandemic, Matthew Kenney, an award-winning chef, was forced to reevaluate and adapt his business model in order to save his brand-new venture. Recognizing that people were spending more time at home and had more time to dedicate to leisure activities, he needed to offer his curriculum online and needed a custom-designed e-learning platform to be built.
FOOD FUTURE INSTITUTE: A Delicious New Wave of Learning and Commerce
The challenge was to build a web-based platform that could support a host of media formats and integrate e-commerce capabilities.
Our team used a combination of cutting-edge technologies such as React.js, Node.js, and MongoDB to build the platform. To support multiple media formats, we integrated a variety of third-party libraries and APIs. The platform also featured integration with Stripe for secure online payments and a custom CMS for easy content management.
The end result was a feature-rich, responsive and user-friendly e-learning platform that exceeded the chef's expectations. The platform was able to handle a large number of users, with a high degree of scalability and availability. The tight deadline was met and the chef was able to continue his business and reach a wider audience.
On the first day of its release, the platform saw over 300 students enroll in the program and generated over $200,000 in revenue within the first week. This exceeded the culinary institute's initial expectations and demonstrated the high demand for the platform.
